After a quick look inside St John the Baptist church we walked along the High Street and turned into Salt Way an ancient bridle path that was used primarily to transport salt from mines in Droitwich to London.
Once past the housing estate on our right we turned off and followed a well defined footpath across fields passing close to Wykham Farm. There were some very interesting cattle with very large horns in the field we had to cross but fortunately they were not interest in us.
Once across this field we came to a lake where three boys were about to take a dip (after all it was a very warm afternoon).
Walking on we passed Upper Grove Mill where the water was flowing fast and furious and on to Bloxham Grove Road.
We stayed on the road for a short distance making our way to Lower Grove Mill with a view of the windmill in the distance. The path carried on and back into Bodicote where ice creams were needed after a hot but very enjoyable walk.
