Harvest Festival
Harvest Festival on Sunday 6th October at 11am
Followed by Lunch in the Village Hall
All are invited, and Everyone is very welcome, to the Harvest Festival service at the Church. Traditionally a big day in the life of a village in a rural community – and it remains so here in Aynho!
Please come along – bring any “harvest” items to add to the decorations at the start of the service. Things from your land/garden will always be used locally (or taken home again if they are your precious produce!). Like in previous years we will send all dry goods, tins, of anything to the Foodbank at Brackley for those not so lucky as us in the village. We normally take a large carload! (If you can’t attend but want to leave some gifts, please just bring them to the Church porch in the days ahead.)
After the Service there will be a ‘Bring & Share’ lunch in the Village Hall. Bring sufficient food for your number plus plates, cutlery, any drink that you want and glasses to put it in – it’s a disorganised, ad hoc, picnic – and fun. We will share any food that is brought – and celebrate this year’s difficult harvest (rather like last year at Clarkson’s Farm!)
