November 2013 A group of WI members and their husbands planted a Liquidamber styra ‘Worplesdon’ tree on the playing fields to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the WI in Aynho. It is a medium sized deciduous tree with maple-like leaves that turn deep orange and yellow in the autumn.
50th Anniversary of Aynho’s WI 20th March 2013 Aynho WI celebrated its 50th Anniversary with an excellent lunch in the Apricot room at the Cartwright Hotel. This was followed by a piece of the anniversary cake.
3rd March 2011 – walk to Charlton On a cold misty morning nine WI members set off to Charlton and back across. Unfortunately on reaching Charlton the pub was closed so no chance of a hot coffee!!
